About Adam & The Boston Shaker

Even from college age, I preferred spirits over wine or beer. When everyone else was swilling cheap beer and MD 20/20, I found I’d prefer a Whiskey Sour, a Gin and Tonic or even a scotch on the rocks when feeling fancy. (I also drank cheap beer and MD 20/20 - let’s not kid ourselves)

That led to a developing appreciation for cocktails. However, I continuously ran up against, “that <spirit, ingredient, vessel, tool> is hard to get” as a standard answer anytime I wanted to enjoy a cocktail at home.

A bit of research told me that many quality items were out there, but there was no place that really focused on getting them into your hands in an easy, knowledgeable and un-intimidating environment.

So, the idea behind The Boston Shaker was born.

As the current cocktail movement continues to build momentum, I’m fascinated by the array of excellent specialty products hitting the market. We’re in a very exciting time for those who enjoy cocktails, and I look forward to helping more people enjoy them at home.
