These surprisingly savory bitters lead a duplicitous life adding depth to sweeter drinks based on apple, pear, or orange, but also blending right in with the smoky characteristics of an anejo tequila or scotch.
Ingredients: Alcohol, water, organic sugar, grains of paradise, cinnamon, cardamom, walnut leaf, quassia, gentian
Soft Shock
Muddle the mint, simple syrup, and bitters in a mixing glass. Add sherry, gin, lime juice, and ice. Stir for 20 seconds, then strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Top with soda and garnish with mint.
